An empty hole invites!, …… invites you to join Qiaochu and Qihang in Amsterdam’s Vondelpark with the audible and inaudible sounds around- wind, noise, signals, vibrations, and frequencies…

Referring to the historical aspect of radio as “the tool of empire”*, that radio was used to strengthen colonization(for example the propaganda radio PHOHI broadcasted between the Netherlands and its colonies from 1920s-1930s), Qiaochu and Qihang are interested in the soundscape working on our consciousness with the political influence.

Vondelpark will be our recording field as well as the reactor of human activities, fresh and rotten natural beings. The signal can stay in the active ionosphere, which becomes the ghost of the present and history. In this sense, this physical environment has been possessed and transmitted as the camouflage for the soundscape.
