This project is developed under the 49m2 residency in Breda - In the Zaartpark in Breda you can find a demarcated piece of land of 49m2 where the municipality of Breda will not perform any maintenance for the next 20 years. According to the agreement made with artist Gerrit-Jan Smit, this 7 x 7 meters is allowed people (now is me)to intervene, except the local government. 

By talking about inhabiting the land, how the national force reclaimed the sea, and what actions meaning "owning“ can carry on our identity as migrants/immigrants, we develop a way of ‘vocabulary’ of to perceive this 49m2 - whether the texture of the organisms attached to the surface, or the negative space buried under a deep layer of old and new grasses. Imagine language, texts, bodies and voices as basic tools and they transform, grow up and associate to each other.
