We wander through all sorts of folklore, popular fiction, fringe rumours about Mulan, the Chinese fictional figure that pretended to be man when she joined the army in place of her father... Our hometown, where the tourism industry built in name of Mulan is in decline, was once associated with a style of socialism.

It is about the failure of heroism. We learnt about our own experiences as trans and connected the poetry of self-destruction, which for trans context is the pre-rebirth of the body and gender identity; also, in the Chinese classic, self-destruction is seen as an individual, symbolic act of vengeance and resistance.
