Interruptive Drive (2022)

This work explores the vulnerability of body, in the order established by the modern environment and process of labour. The work presents a frustrated body that has been subjected to the weight and deformation of the torso during a certain labour process. It is from the artist's experience as a laborer in the meat industry: in the meat farming, the spatial divisions and industrial processes interfere and control the animal body, and these result in the body becoming the vessel for structural pain. They are related and metaphoric to the body of the artist as laborer. The painting of discarded animal body parts on the skin overlays the farm plan in an attempt to disturb the already existing order.
